Editorial policy for our sewer content
How we research and write about sewer lines for Dallas homes, and what we will never publish.
Sources we use
Where our sewer facts come from
Licensing facts come from the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. Permit and responsibility statements come from the City of Dallas and its code. Pipe materials and repair methods are described from reference sources such as encyclopedic and technical overviews. Each source is numbered on the page that uses it.
Writing rules
Rules every page follows
- No figures for what jobs run on any page outside the legal pages.
- We never claim local jobs, crews, arrival times, reviews or awards.
- Safety comes first; advice stops where a licensed plumber is needed.
- Every heading and paragraph is written for this Dallas site alone.
Images we use
How images are used
Images are AI-generated illustrations made for this site. Before-and-after images are labeled illustrative and never presented as completed jobs.
Corrections policy
How we correct and update pages
When a rule changes or a reader reports an error, we update the page and its date. Call the number on the site to report a correction.
Review schedule
How pages are reviewed
Pages are checked line by line against their cited sources when first written and reviewed when rules, codes or permit procedures change.
Independence from plumbers
Independence from the plumbers on the line
Plumbers who take calls do not write or approve our content. Being connected to a plumber is not an endorsement, so check their Texas license and get the scope in writing.
